Universal Studios™ Halloween Horror Nights™

Does anyone else get super excited for Haunted Houses then finally get there and chicken out? Yep, that is me! I’m an October baby and love all things Fall & Halloween. I’m also a huge fan of the idea of Haunted Houses until it actually comes down to it and I get sooo scared. I just never understood the idea of people doing this to get scared on purpose!

My coworker first went to Universal Studios™ Halloween Horror Nights™ awhile back with her boyfriend and she ended up sharing her experience with me . She could not stop talking about how fun it was and how I really needed to go. So the following year, 2017, we decided to all go as a group. This year was mine & Matt’s 2nd time going and let me just tell you, it is such a blast! You just get so used to getting scared by the end of the night it ends up being SO much fun!

We arrived in Los Angeles on Saturday and checked into the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City // 4 Diamond Service Hotel at the main entrance to Universal Studios Hollywood & Universal CityWalk. We stayed in an Executive Room with a park view and the view was absolutely amazing! I was able to watch the WaterWorld® show straight from our hotel room window. The Sheraton Universal Hotel is another great hotel option that is super close to the park. This hotel is in walking distance to Universal Studios Hollywood & Universal CityWalk. If you don't feel like walking or you have babies/strollers, both Hotels provide a shuttle to and from the park. When booking the hotel we used Hotels.com. We like using this website because they provide a rewards program, Hotels.comRewards™. This program allows you to collect 10 nights and get 1 free! Plus they have secret prices on select properties, which is nice because you obviously want the best deal when booking your hotel.

For our tickets, we bought the Universal Express™ After 2PM pass for Sunday. This pass allows you into the park after 2pm and that gave us plenty of time to enjoy The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ before it closed for HHN (Halloween Horror Nights™). This express pass also includes a ONE-TIME express access to each maze, ride, attraction and seated shows, including the Jabbawockeez live show. The ticket is valid on the selected date only and valid for Universal Studios Hollywood located in Los Angeles, California.

Here are the ticket tiers and pricing for Universal Studios™ Halloween Horror Nights™ 2018:
